Job Description

Vertiv Service business is designed to provide full life‑cycle service support for our customers and is a core part of the Vertiv market offering. On‑site activity is a crucial element of the Vertiv Service organization worldwide. Vertiv CE conducts hundreds of thousands of visits every year to maintain the critical infrastructure devices supporting Vertiv Customer applications.

As a Junior Data Analyst you will be part of the Big Data team, delivering meaningful output for use by the business and its customers. This may include reports on performance (equipment, site, operational) analysis, statistical (benchmarking, operational, site, customer) analysis, maintenance planning, and cost analysis for service contracts.

You will work directly with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and cross‑functional teams at both regional and global levels, including Technology, Data, Insights & Analytics teams. This position reports directly to the Big Data Team Leader, who reports to the Global Service Platforms organization.

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports that convert into business opportunities.
• Work with Management Systems leaders and technology experts to prioritize business and information needs.
• Collaborate with Center of Expertise leaders to identify data collection needs at system, site, and network levels.
• Collect feedback from technical experts to improve reports and data collection, verifying that improvements meet expected results.
• Define data to collect from systems and site processes sold and utilized by Vertiv.
• Define strategies to optimize statistics in terms of efficiency and quality, including data filtering, cleaning, and defining KPIs that identify problems at the database level.
• Collaborate with Monitoring solution architects to assure efficient data collection across projects and solutions.
• Work with global and regional teams to design, develop, and maintain the Service Analytics concept and the Global Data Lake used with the Analytics Service organization and other company requirements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a data analyst or business data analyst, preferably in IoT or M2M environments.
• Technical knowledge of data modeling, mining, cleansing, segmentation, and database design techniques.
• Proficiency with BI reporting packages (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (Python, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
• Modeling skills to represent requirements information graphically, augmenting textual representations.
• Strong analytical skills for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information from varied technical environments.
• Knowledge and capability to understand applications in the Data Center, Telecom, Industrial, and Edge segments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to new technology as we expand our data analytics footprint.
• Ability to ideate and pursue ideas that deliver business value.
