Data Engineer - Business Processes

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing SaaS organisation. This role is brand new and will allow you to shape how data is used across the business to enable efficiency, innovation and smarter decisions.

This role sits at the intersection of technology and business. You will act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and the data engineering function, translating complex business challenges into actionable, data‑driven solutions. Working across multiple teams, you will engage closely with stakeholders to understand their objectives and design the data strategies, pipelines, and tools that help them achieve the desired outcomes.

You will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end data solutions, from gathering requirements through to building and maintaining scalable infrastructure and analytical outputs. Technologies used include Redshift, Python, Power BI and modern ETL frameworks. The role offers the flexibility to select the right tool for each problem rather than being tied to a single stack. You will also play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of the company’s data capabilities, moving from traditional business intelligence towards advanced analytics and AI integration.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in data engineering combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast‑growing environment where processes evolve rapidly and your ability to translate data into business value will have a visible impact. Commercial awareness and the ability to align data initiatives with business priorities is an advantage.
