We're looking for motivated Data Center Technicians to join a large-scale data center environment in Johnstown, OH.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in computer hardware, networking, Linux, IT support, computer repair, structured cabling, or data center operations who wants to take the next step in their technical career.
As a Data Center Technician, you'll work hands-on with the hardware and infrastructure that supports modern cloud computing. You'll troubleshoot server and network hardware, diagnose technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with other technical teams to keep equipment operating efficiently.
What You'll Be DoingInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer and server hardware.
Diagnose hardware and network-related issues using established troubleshooting procedures.
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical problems.
Use Linux operating systems and command-line tools to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
Support servers, network devices, and other data center infrastructure.
Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and findings.
Work closely with technical teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
Follow established safety, security, and operational procedures.
Perform hands-on, physically active work throughout the shift, including standing, walking, lifting, and working around data center equipment.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience with:
Computer hardware
Computer networking
Linux operating systems
Successful candidates should have:
Strong technical aptitude and an interest in computer and server hardware.
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to individuals with different levels of technical knowledge.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
Strong situational awareness in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
Ability to work in elevated locations when required.
Flexibility to work in an environment that may experience seasonal temperature fluctuations.
Initial Training
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Training location and schedule are subject to change.
Following training, available schedules may include:
Front Half
Sunday through Wednesday
Day and night shift opportunities
Approximately 10-hour shifts
Back Half
Wednesday through Saturday
Day and night shift opportunities
Approximately 10-hour shifts
Candidates should be comfortable with schedule flexibility. Based on business needs, schedules may occasionally change, including adjusted start times, extended shifts of up to 12 hours, or night-shift assignments. Schedule changes will be communicated in advance when possible.
Work EnvironmentThis is a hands-on, physically active data center position. Technicians should expect to spend a significant portion of their shift on their feet while working directly with computer hardware and technical infrastructure.
The work environment may experience temperature fluctuations depending on the season and specific work area.
