The Kalmbach Feeds Purchasing team requires an extremely perceptive person, who can relate to both internal and external customers at all levels. The successful contributing team member in this role will utilize their pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail daily. As unique situations present themselves, the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member goodwill and company reputation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Streamline ingredient sheets, approved supplier forms and audit SDS documents
Systematically evaluate and catalogue suppliers to create an approved supplier library.
Perform a detailed evaluation and cataloguing of suppliers to develop a comprehensive map of all approved U.S. suppliers
Review and update the specifications for all ingredients acquired or included in bid processes.

The Right Candidate:

Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other related field of study
Reliable with strong work ethic and positive disposition
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
Proficient in windows-based software programs
