Vertiv is hiring a Senior Project Manager within our Global Strategic Accounts (GSA) Project Execution Team. This highly visible role is responsible for managing multiple data‑center customer projects and coordinating with external partners and internal departments (Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Field Services, and Finance) to deliver exceptional customer service and on‑time delivery from order acknowledgement to equipment startup.
The Senior Project Manager oversees project execution, including cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction. They will lead the project management team in driving tasks to completion while acting as the primary Vertiv point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to define methods, procedures, and best practices, ensuring enforcement across projects.
- Define the project scope and tasks, develop execution plans with functional leaders, and coordinate with Order Management, production, logistics, contractors, services, and warranty groups. Serve as the primary escalation point for potential conflicts.
- Track project performance against quality, schedule, and cost targets; document meeting notes and action items; follow through to completion.
- Ensure service and delivery execution meets contract requirements and customer expectations through cross‑functional management of execution teams.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to resolve issues timely and communicate to stakeholders.
- Monitor team schedules and coordinate activities on the critical path; implement short‑term and long‑term resolutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as contractors, customers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional operational teams to enforce delivery of contract requirements and customer expectations.
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree or certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of project management experience required.
- Experience in construction project management is preferred.
- Prior power distribution equipment experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills, including effective meetings and presentations.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of construction, electrical and mechanical contracting is a plus.
- Critical infrastructure and data center expertise with UPS, thermal, battery and monitoring is a plus.
- Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure, and commissioning processes is a plus.
