What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Project Manager, you will join the Governance and Controls team within the Risk Management division to manage medium to large scale projects, working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources. This role is an exciting and highly visible area of the bank and will be primarily supporting various governance and control initiatives throughout the organization. You will work with various stakeholders to understand the regulatory and compliance requirements of the bank and support the delivery of these initiatives, which could be multi-year programs or initiatives with large scale budgets.

What You'll be Doing

* Strategic Minded - Understand the Bank's regulatory and compliance direction. Drive project execution tasks by engaging and motivating assigned project resources. Effectively oversee early stages of projects, ensuring all documentation is captured. Review impacts and challenges involved with new governance initiatives, presenting and providing recommendations to senior executives. Successfully plan, execute, control, and close project(s) against defined scope, budget, and timelines using bank methodology, procedures, and policies.

* Project Management - Support and manage projects for the Governance and Controls team within the Risk Management division. Update and create project status, financial reports, risk logs, and any other project-related documentation as there is limited administrative support. Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate project progress, and gain alignment on resolution of issues.

* Strong Communications - Prepare and chair steering committees, providing regular status updates. Report to senior management on status, financials, risks, and issues of projects, gaining consensus on direction to successfully deliver projects.

* Relationship Management - Ensure that appropriate communication is enabled with technology and business partners as well as external organizations to continually review, monitor, and proactively manage project progress.

What We're Looking For

* Experience - You can demonstrate experience in professional Project Management supporting Governance and Controls initiatives (5+ years). You have an understanding of risk management, compliance, and audit methodologies and extensive practical experience and knowledge with techniques for planning, organizing, and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously. It is an asset if you have worked with MS Project, SharePoint, Planview, and Agile and Waterfall methodologies within the Financial Services industry.

* Driven to Succeed - You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact.

* Attention to Detail - You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision-making.

* Ownership - You thrive when you're empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.

* Change Champion - You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.

* Values - You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
