Overview

We are hiring for a Technical Supervisor. The Technical Supervisor role at Molding Dynamics is responsible for developing and troubleshooting the plastic injection molding processes to achieve optimum production and quality goals. You will provide support and leadership to molding operations and ensure a consistent process is followed.

Technical Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties

As a technical supervisor, your primary responsibility is to make sure processes are being followed and optimized for performance. Your role also includes a close connection to equipment so that you can troubleshoot and address problems reactively and proactively.

Your duties may include:

• Develop, document and implement standard molding processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing problems related to product quality or to improve efficiencies.
• Recommend and improve manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
• Effectively communicate with other departments and between shifts.
• Set up presses and related equipment and work area according to daily production schedules.
• Train, mentor, and motivate production staff to excel in their careers.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Technical Supervisor Qualifications

Due to the strategic nature of this role, experience in a related role is recommended, with a focus in injection molding preferred.

You re a great candidate for the technical supervisor role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of prior related work experience with plastic injection molding processing and equipment knowledge, set-up and maintenance.
• Strong math, computer, and communication skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, occasionally lifting 50lbs, etc.
• Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• New mold sampling and troubleshooting experience.
