Wieland is hiring a Production Machinist. The Production Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines and tools to produce precision parts, instruments, and finished products. Includes precision instrument work to fabricate, and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines. This role is located in Coldwater, OH and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $26.51/hr.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 2nd Shift (5:00 pm - 3:00 am) or 3rd Shift (9:00 pm - 7:00 am)
Pay Schedule: Weekly
ResponsibilitiesProduction Machinist Responsibilities:
- Setup all gages for job
- Able to use all precision gages
- Set machine up and load new tooling
- Touch off new tooling in machine
- Run program in graphics and notice obvious mistakes
- Make necessary offset in tool data
- Basic understanding of tolerances
Load and down load programs from disk
Production Machinist Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to set up, operate, and adjust manual and/or CNC machines
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
