As a Welder I at Logisti

Q, A Division of LEWCO, you will be a part of our Weld Operations team. The ideal candidate will weld company products using GMAW (MIG) process and interpreting mechanical drawings.

(Other duties may be assigned)

• Perform welding of basic company parts made of carbon steel.
• Interpret mechanical drawings including weld symbols.
• Perform quality checks using appropriate gauges, including calipers and dial indicators.
• Use hand and power tools as required to complete work.

May require occasional local travel.

• Owns required personal hand tools.
• Proficient with GMAW (MIG) welding.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings and weld symbols preferred.
• Ability to read calibration equipment preferred.
• Able to pass math and measurement assessment.
• Able to pass entry level GMAW (MIG) weld test.
• Basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
• Able to read a tape measure within 1/16”.
• Basic data entry skills including how to print documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of 60-day probationary period.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• High school welding GMAW (MIG) certificate preferred.
• Post high school certificate or degree in welding preferred.
• One year of manufacturing GMAW (MIG) weld experience is preferred.

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. X
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight & confined spaces. X
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. X

• Repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers. X

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the non-air conditioned work environment is moderate. Steel toe shoes and safety glasses are required.
