Work Hours:

12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM) with no rotation; plus, an 8-hour shift option rotating every 6 weeks (7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM).

Position Summary

Join our Pressroom Team as a Material Handler. You will support production by operating robots and stackers to collect book sections, securing sections with straps, and ensuring quality and safety throughout the shift. This role emphasizes teamwork, routine maintenance, and opportunities for growth through on-the-job training.

As a Material Handler, you will:

Operate robots and stackers to collect book sections as they exit printing presses.
Strap book sections together and place them on pallets for downstream processing.
Inspect for quality defects and communicate issues to the team or supervisor.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Maintain organized work areas and assist teammates as needed.
Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Qualifications:

Basic English proficiency preferred to support clear communication within the team.
Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Prior work experience in a similar role or environment preferred.
Machine or factory/production experience preferred but not required.
Flexibility to rotate shifts and/or days.
Willingness to work overtime when scheduled.

Fast-paced production environment.
Repetitive motion and standing for long periods.
Exposure to typical print/board manufacturing noise and dust (safety equipment provided as needed).
