Job Description
Job Description
A small precision machine shop is hiring one CNC Machinist who can set up and program lathes and mills.
Most of the work here is round, turned parts, so lathe experience matters most. Mill work runs on a CNC machining center and is mostly drilling and tapping. This is a job shop: the parts change often, and it is not long-run production.
What you will do:
- Set up CNC lathes and a CNC machining center
- Write and edit programs at the machine
- Drill and tap on the machining center
What you need:
- Hands-on lathe setup experience, CNC or manual (a strong manual lathe machinist can be trained onto CNC)
- CNC programming or program editing at the control
- Job shop or high-mix experience
- Mill or machining center setup is a plus
Pay: $20 to $35 per hour, based on experience. Full time, permanent.
Apply through this posting. Qualified applicants will be contacted within one business day.
Equal opportunity employer.
