Body man​/fabricator in Oakwood

This is a full-time, on-site Body Man / Fabricator role located in Oakwood, GA. The team member will be responsible for metal fabrication, bodywork, and panel fitment on custom and restoration projects, including shaping, cutting, welding, and finishing metal components. Daily tasks include repairing and aligning vehicle bodies, preparing surfaces for paint, and collaborating closely with paint, upholstery, and mechanical teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves reading and interpreting build plans, maintaining tools and equipment, and following safety and quality standards. The Body Man / Fabricator will contribute to project timelines, provide input on fabrication solutions, and support a clean, organized, and professional shop environment.

• Strong metal fabrication skills, including cutting, forming, welding, and grinding of sheet metal and structural components.
• Experience with automotive bodywork, panel alignment, dent repair, rust repair, and surface preparation for paint.
• Proficiency with common shop tools and equipment such as welders, grinders, hammers, dollies, brakes, and shears.
• Ability to read and follow build plans, technical drawings, and measurements with high accuracy.
• Commitment to safety practices, shop cleanliness, and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and ability to meet show-quality standards on custom builds.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across fabrication, paint, and upholstery teams.
• Previous experience in custom automotive, hot rods, restorations, or similar fabrication environments.
• Physical ability to perform hands-on shop work, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
