Overview
Part-time position available with the Climate Psychology Alliance North America (CPA-NA). Best suited for someone interested in the field of climate and mental health, it requires up to 10 hours per week. This Coordinator will report directly to one or both Co-Executive Director(s) and will provide membership and CRM support to the Executive Committee, Regional Coordinators and Communications Team to advance the organization’s mission and to strengthen initiatives focused on addressing psychological and social justice dimensions of the climate crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Regular/On-Going/As needed
- Respond to membership inquiries via email
- Review CPA-NA Info@ email 3 times per week and respond to inquiries, including membership-related questions, adding or removing members from relevant Google groups, and directing emails to relevant people in the organization
- Meet with Co-Executive Directors on a weekly basis to review tasks
- Regional Coordinating Onboarding Program as needed, which may include setting up new RCs with email addresses, Google Drive access, two-step authentication; adding new RCs to the RC Google group; adding their profile and photo to the website; obtaining CVs and distributing the Code of Conduct; troubleshooting issues
- Maintain and support organized documentation in CPA-NA Google Drive
- Other administrative or CRM tasks as needed
- Bi-monthly: attending bi-monthly RC meetings, taking attendance and notes (1.5 hours every 2 months)
- Monthly:
Communications — Generate “In the News” monthly updates and send to Communications team; solicit monthly “Out and About” news from members and send to Newsletter
- Membership — Review memberships on donor dock and relevant Stripe notifications to determine membership status; follow up with members as needed; work with CRM to generate reports (monthly/annual changes in total membership; regional breakdown; demographic reports); use Donor Dock filters to create volunteer interest lists and distribute to committee chairs; assist in developing a reporting and tracking system for volunteer hours
- Climate Aware Practitioners Directory — Coordinate with Communications Director to identify tracking needs as CAP directory integrates with the new website (tasks TBD)
- Committee Leadership Meeting — Attend and take minutes for monthly committee leadership meeting
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in psychology or environmental studies (or related field) with prior administrative assistant experience, preferably in a nonprofit
- Ability to work with CRM including tracking and managing programs, running data reports, and addressing issues in CRM integration
- Ability to communicate clearly, consistently and warmly with CPA-NA members and staff/volunteers
- Demonstrated capacity for independent work and taking initiative
- Ability to adapt to shifting work environments as the organization grows
$22.50/hr the hourly wage is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
LocationFlexible, with a preference for proximity to major organizational hubs.
