Pastor: First Baptist Church

Develop and deliver weekly sermons and facilitate a meaningful worship experience. Additionally, provide devotionals for Wednesday night prayer.

Actively develop relationships with church members to effectively disciple, equip, support, and encourage them.

Serve and minister to individuals in times of need.

Provide counseling support to church members as needed.

Be aware of the work of the missions committee and offer advice and support.

Prepare the annual budget and present it to the Advisory Board.

Perform baptisms, weddings, and other ceremonies as required.

• Evidence of love for Jesus Christ, exhibited in the life of the applicant.
• Baptist Ordained minister with a Master’s in Divinity from a GARBC-accredited university or equivalent.
• Exemplifies the biblical requirements of 1 Timothy 3:1-10, Titus 1:5-16, and 1 Peter 5:1-2.

Demonstrated ability to articulate biblical theology in a manner that is understandable and applicable for church members.

Servant leader with strong leadership skills, effective communication (both written and verbal), and a team-oriented mindset.

• Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
• Compensation package can include housing allowance, medical benefits, continuing education, pension, and salary.
• If housing needs call for a parsonage, one is available.
• Paid vacation.

The Big Picture

First Baptist Church of Blanchester (GARBC) is seeking a pastor who shares our desire for church growth through biblical preaching, discipleship, revitalization, and evangelism. Our focus on worldwide missions must also be supported by our pastor.

Located in a rural setting 30 miles east of Cincinnati, Ohio, our retiring pastor has served for 11 years. We seek a suitable replacement to continue sharing the Gospel, especially with those who have drifted from the faith.

Our Sunday services are a blend of contemporary and traditional hymns, with practical, biblically centered sermons. FBC is affiliated with the GARBC but operates independently without external governance.
