Description

The Endoscopy Technician, in accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors;

under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies and assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens.
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency required.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
