Join the Ohio Department of Veterans Services as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Georgetown, OH. Ohio Veterans Homes provide trauma-informed, long‑term care for veterans across the state, including domiciliary living at our Sandusky location. • Complete physician orders: assist with physical exams, treatments, and specimen collection; administer medications including controlled substances.
• Observe and document residents’ conditions in the Point‑Click‑Care system and report to the medical team.
• Create reports such as progress notes, care plans, and monthly summaries.
• Provide general nursing and direct care, assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation, and range‑of‑motion exercises.
• Escort and support residents at medical appointments or recreational activities.
• Assist with redirecting unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes.
• Apply safety and infection‑control measures.
• Provide assistance to Therapeutic Program Workers (STNA) as assigned.
• Attend team meetings, trainings, and other related activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 of the Ohio Revised Code.
• Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
• No prior experience required.

• Starting hourly – Step 3: $29.22 per hour (≈$60,778 annually).
• 1st raise after 1 year to $30.55 per hour (≈$63,544 annually).
• $500 bonus after 120 days and another $500 bonus after one year.
• Multiple pay increases over service years; potential end salary of $33.52 per hour (≈$69,722 annually) for first‑shift employees.
• Shift differential pay for 2nd & 3rd shift.
• Longevity increases starting at the fifth year.
• Overtime opportunities.
• Tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually.
• Potential referral bonuses up to $4,000.
