Quality Food Safety Coordinator - Fostoria, OH
This is an exempt level position.
Job SummaryThe QFS (Quality and Food Safety) Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily activities of the site’s food safety program.
Essential Job Functions- Provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that Food Safety/Quality requirements are met.
- Manages, plans, implements, and continuously improves the Food Safety/Quality divisional programs.
- Enforces Quality goals and KPIs, Food Safety/Quality, maintains Food Safety plan, and supports Operations for continuous improvement.
- Ensures the processes and systems are adequate to implement, achieve, and maintain 3rd party certifications (i.e., GMP+, SQF, etc.) and FDA compliance (21
CFR 507 and/or 21
CFR 117). - Oversees usage of and provides support for information technology systems (i.e., Policy Tech, APeCS, GEMINI, etc.).
- Tracks and reports the Cost of Poor Quality to drive continuous improvement in the plant.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and good decision‑making skills are required.
- Escalates and communicates quality and food safety issues, as required, to Plant Management, Regional QFS, BU NA QFS Director and the Technology Center.
- Develops and delivers engaging and effective training, measures effectiveness of training and makes updates for continuous improvement.
- Preferred 4‑year degree or equivalent 7‑year Food Safety experience in a Food manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed.

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at‑will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between: $52,800.00 - $99,400.00
