Barbados Sotheby’s International Realty is seeking suitable applications for the post of Property Manager.

As a Property Manager, your role will be to lead the activities of Barbados Sotheby’s International Realty as it relates to efficient and effective management of assigned properties, tracking the performance of the properties’ income and expenses through rentals and ensuring that operating costs are minimized.

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Playing an active role in promoting a positive work environment by maintaining effective working relationships with all staff and creating a service-oriented culture built on excellence.
  • Remaining accessible to owners and guests as required and maintaining regular contact with them to understand their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Planning, coordinating and supervising the work of assigned staff to ensure key deliverables are met according to set deadlines and agreed standards.
  • Supervising maintenance jobs to ensure that all jobs done on property are completed according to the specifications determined and agreed to prior to the commencement of the maintenance work.
  • Submitting monthly reports to the Manager – Property Management and property owners containing all information and updates related to the properties within their portfolios.
Qualifications and experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in hospitality or tourism.
  • Certification in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Management or any or any related discipline.
Essential knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics
  • Outstanding communication skills (i.e., listening, oral, written and interpersonal).
  • Strong research, negotiation multi-tasking, persuasion, problem-solving, computer literacy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Has strong creative awareness of the villa sector and can apply it in the contribution towards creation and publication of marketing collateral.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and prevent disclosure of sensitive information.
Additional requirements
  • Valid police certificate of character
  • Valid Barbados work permit (if non-national)
