The Neurobiology and Neurotechnology group at the Faculty of Biology, University of Freiburg is seeking to fill the following position:
Research Associate (f/m/d) fixed-term; (

).
The Neurobiology and Neurotechnology group investigates the foundations of motor and cognitive processes and advances novel approaches with translational potential for neurotechnological applications. We are seeking a dedicated and excellent scientist with a passion for both research and teaching to strengthen our interdisciplinary team.
The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of an extension for another three years. Employment and compensation will be in accordance with A13. Employment is subject to the fulfillment of civil service requirements.
Your responsibilities:
- Planning, conducting, and organizing your research within the group’s thematic areas. Habilitation is possible as part of the position.
- Teaching (4 SWS, semester hours per week) in neuroscience and biology (B.Sc./M.Sc. Biology, M.Sc. Neuroscience)
- Supervision of theses (B.Sc., M.Sc.)
- Participation in administrative tasks of the group and academic self-governance
- Writing grant proposals and acquiring third-party funding
