Base pay: $15.00/hr - $18.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Job DetailsFull Time - 40 hours per week; 10:30am-7pm (hourly could be flexible if approved).
Position SummaryIn accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Dining Porter is flexible and responsible for working in any of these positions:
Server, Dining Services Assistant, and Dishwasher. Responsibilities include providing meals and nourishment to residents, maintaining nursing care pantries, following sanitation procedures, serving meals in a dining room setting, preparing meal trays, washing dishes, and setting up tray-lines.

- High School education or equivalent (strong English and math background needed).
- One (1) year experience in a Nursing Home/Hospital or hospitality setting preferred.
- Food service experience preferred.
- Serve-safe certified within six (6) months of employment.
- Able to stand or walk short distances for long periods of time on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. independently and over 50 lbs. with assistance on a regular basis.
- Able to work in varying temperatures.
- Possess the ability to bend, stoop and reach at different angles.
- Possess the necessary dexterity to sort, fold, colorize, etc.
- Possess and demonstrate the necessary dexterity to operate equipment, buttons, levers, etc.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated rooms.
- Exposed to varying temperatures, steam and varying food odors.
- Must work with residents, families and public courteously and effectively.
