Cashier​/Food Service Worker

Job Summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring full‑time and part‑time Cashier/Food Service Workers at Canal Winchester Local Schools. No experience required; training will be provided.

• Operate the Point of Sale system and perform cashier duties with accuracy.
• Assist chefs in preparing foods, including meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts.
• Set up serving lines, take and record temperatures, and notify cooks of any temperature issues.
• Prepare hot and cold items, serve customers, and keep cashier and coffee stations clean.
• Restock supplies, inventory products, and maintain first‑in, first‑out rotation in refrigerators and pantries.
• Perform general cleaning duties, remove trash, and keep line areas tidy.
• Complete deposits at the end of each shift and maintain cash accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced food service environment.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with a cash register.
• Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
