Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. Pay range: $13.00 to $23.00 per hour

This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. A minimum of 1 year retail management experience is required. Eligible employees may earn commissions and various benefits described below.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. The Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, leading and developing store employees, recruiting and retaining top talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position partners with the Store Manager to set the tone for a customer-centric environment.
It also involves analyzing store financial statements to meet financial goals, and supporting asset protection, sales, and customer service across a wide range of merchandise.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and proper documentation of loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communications and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to uphold value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assist with management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be required to assist customers in exterior areas or access exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed and to accommodate a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours are based on business needs and not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Analytical skills and cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
