A Parts Sales Lead must deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting the best parts and accessories solutions and improving their overall experience. The responsibilities include increasing sales and gross margin objectives, maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty, and maintaining accurate and profitable inventory. Additionally, a Parts Sales Lead is expected to provide coaching and training to parts sales specialists.
Responsibilities- Produce parts and accessories sales that meet Bane-Welker established sales and gross margin objectives and satisfy both internal and external customer needs.
- Finalize parts and accessories transactions by properly closing each sale, including suggestive selling of parts and accessories that benefit the customer.
- Successfully identify and fulfill customer needs and desires by helping them select the best parts and/or accessories solution.
- Promptly and professionally greet customers when they enter the facility and when they call.
- Self-educate on the features and benefits of parts and accessories products and actively seek ways to increase selling capabilities.
- Effectively assist the customer in making the best parts and accessories buying decisions to maintain high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain a current knowledge base of parts and accessories to stay current on legal, safety, and recall information.
- Follow up with external and internal customers in a timely manner.
- Accurately account for all incoming and outgoing parts and accessories.
- Participate professionally in the maintenance and selection of parts and accessories to maintain an accurate, profitable, and desirable inventory.
- Perform physical cycle counts regularly and assist in identifying the best inventory mix of parts and accessories.
- Properly demonstrate the use of parts and accessories.
- Maintain clean, well‑stocked, and attractive merchandise displays.
- Develop the performance of individual specialists in the parts department to ensure all perform at a high level.
- Provide expertise, coaching, and on‑the‑job training for beginner, intermediate, and expert parts sales specialists to increase individual and team performance.
- Make recommendations to parts management and/or general management for training to develop specialists as successful performers in their jobs.
- Experience in sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of parts and accessories for agricultural or heavy equipment.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain customer relationships and cultivate new customers for future growth.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate organizational ability and systematic timing.
- Must be familiar with the dealer’s line of equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate the guiding principles of Bane‑Werker.
