Job Summary:

The Product Manager, Parts & Equipment reports to the Inside Sales Manager and is responsible for growing parts and equipment sales for K&M Tire. This role requires extensive knowledge of the company’s products and customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Increase Parts and Equipment Sales.

Retain existing customers and acquire new customers.

Must be knowledgeable of parts and equipment, products and programs available to K&M customers.

Create flyers to highlight products and programs for K&M customers; oversee website content to make products easier for teammates and customers to find; and coordinate product and program training.

Promote a team environment.

Manage and resolve workplace conflicts using the company’s values as a guide.

Work closely with the management and sales teams.

Assure policies and procedures are being followed.

Be positive and react to teammates’ wishes, show concern for their problems and handle accordingly.

Assure that competent, excellent quality work is being done and continually look for ways to improve the department.

Conduct annual reviews of team members.

Present a clean, neat, professional appearance.

Make it easy to do business with K&M Tire.

Negotiate with various suppliers for parts and equipment products. Selects sources of supply, negotiates prices to achieve desired margins, competitive position, and delivery system.

Remains alert to new and improved product and supplier opportunities to keep customers competitive and K&M profitable.

Assures accuracy of price sheets and ensures that pricing and invoice system is current and correct.

Provides customers with aid in product technical and application information requests, assures adequate product knowledge level for customer service personnel, keeps abreast of and communicates industry information to accounts and company personnel, and provides overall effective and prompt written and oral communications.

Perform other duties as proper and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three years of management experience

Five years of sales experience
