Program DetailsThis is a paid co‑op position designed to provide hands‑on training in lab and office environments. Co‑ops are pre‑entry level, pairing practical work with supervision and mentorship. Depending on satisfactory completion of criteria, there may be consideration for a full‑time position after graduation. Timing of assignments is aligned with business needs and your class schedule. Typical engagement is around 16 weeks, with a minimum duration of 12 weeks and a maximum of 24 weeks within a 12‑month period.
Work is generally executed in lab, plant/pilot plant, clinical sites, or related settings, and may involve work on a computer. Relocation is not offered for this position.
- Onboard to P&G systems and perform basic and critical experimental work as part of day‑to‑day applied research.
- Engage in hands‑on experimentation and basic science tasks in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Operate in a non‑management role with exposure to larger project work and mentorship from a supervisor.
- Balance project work with training in lab practices, culture, and work norms.
- Must be enrolled in a local Associate’s Degree program in a science field (engineering, biology, chemistry preferred; other majors considered).
- GPA in good academic standing.
- Available to work at least one session aligned with your semester and to remain enrolled in classes; typical sessions run ~16 weeks.
- Commitment to 40 hours per week and ability to commute to the Greater Cincinnati area or willingness to relocate at your own expense.
- Minimum duration of 12 weeks and up to 24 weeks within a 12‑month period.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and solid written/verbal communication skills to document experiments and observations.
- Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment and experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations; familiarity with biology/chemistry/related lab work is preferred.
