Summary

Build, install, brace and remove concrete forms constructed of wood or steel to form components of concrete structures. Construct concrete forms including foundations, shoring and decking operations, walls and columns, and other structural elements.

• Perform vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of concrete, distinguishing between different types of material and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and motorized equipment including concrete saws, grinders and drills.
• Place and fasten concrete reinforcing by use of rebar.
• Perform other general construction duties as required.

• Must be able to work rapidly and accurately.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipula te objects.
• Must be able to follow specific directions.
• Must be able to judge straight lines, spaces, and proportions.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, percentages, and fractions.
• Must be able to read and understand measuring tools and levels.
• Must be able to compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.

Completion of an apprenticeship program or an equivalent 4 years of concrete carpentry experience is preferred. High School diploma or GED preferred.

Se requiere haber completado un programa de aprendizaje o tener experiencia equivalente a 4 años en carpintería de concreto. Diploma de escuela secundaria o el grado de Desarrollo Educativo General (GED, por sus siglas en inglés) preferido.
