Overhead Crane Operator

• Understand the safety of the Overhead Crane and operate without compromising those safety systems.
• Responsible for operating the Overhead Crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depress buttons, lift levers, and ensure load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down.
• Observe load hookup and assess load safety.
• Manipulate or depress crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Inspect the crane for defective parts, fill out daily operator checklist, and notify manager of defects or malfunctions.
• Must adhere to all safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least one year of overhead crane experience required.
• Must have a positive attitude and ability to take ownership of area, work with precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Strong work ethic.
• Quick to learn and able to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑directed individual.
• High school diploma required.

• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn.
• Strong mechanical abilities.

• Walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping (frequently).
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (frequently).
• Exposure to temperatures (frequently).

• May require overtime with little notice before or after normal work hours or weekends.
