Field Service Technician

Elit Aire Service is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with proven expertise in air‑cooled chillers and advanced commercial systems. This full‑time, union position through Local 189 offers stable, long‑term work for a skilled technician who values technical excellence, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Technician will play a key role in performing complex service, repair, and commissioning work on a variety of commercial HVAC systems while upholding Elit Aire’s commitment to quality and safety.

• Service, maintain, and repair air‑cooled chillers, water‑cooled chillers, rooftop units, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, and pumps.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and root‑cause troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Execute system start‑ups, commissioning, and testing per manufacturer and customer specifications.
• Document all service activities accurately, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance reports.
• Collaborate closely with Service Management, Account Executives, and customers to schedule and complete work efficiently.
• Mentor and support junior technicians in proper procedures, safety, and technical skills.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours service requests when required.
• Maintain tools, company vehicle, and equipment in professional working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and Local 189 standards.

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Proven expertise with air‑cooled chillers – Daikin experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and controls.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation.
• Skilled in the use of digital gauges, recovery systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in the field.

Pay range: $95,000 – $115,000/yr. Hourly rate $43–54/hr plus potential $2–3/hr incentive.
