Join the team at Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center as a Maintenance Technician on the night shift in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of the facility during overnight hours, helping to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs during night hours.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any significant findings to management.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist other departments as needed to support the overall operations of the Lodge & Conference Center.
- Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Handle general room calls (TV’s, lights, plumbing, heating/cooling etc.).
- Complete projects as directed.
- Spot checking cabins making any necessary repairs.
- Test and maintain pools.
- Assist guests and visitors with needs on a daily basis.
- Pick up trash in and around the facility.
- Maintain the grounds around lodge and cabin.
- Follow all rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- A willingness to help other departments as time permits.
- A willingness to learn.
- Must be able to lift over 40lbs. repeatedly.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must be available to work evening shift, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to repeatedly and continuously bend, reach, lift, push, and twist.
