Perform all essential functions of Class III Engineer plus special skills in a particular trade: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC in an efficient, safe, accident‑free manner.

• Perform maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC. (50%)
• Perform all essential functions of Class III Engineer. (40%)
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas. (5%)
• Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. (3%)
• Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering. (2%)

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, plus two years or its equivalent in trade school or training in building maintenance/construction.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum four years experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance.
• Skills and Abilities:
  
  Must have basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills. May require ability to drive pick‑up truck and snow removal equipment.

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
• Frequent bending and kneeling required to inspect and repair. No kneeling.
• 100% mobility required in all areas of hotel property and grounds.
• No continuous standing required.
• Climbing stairs: up to approx. 90 steps 10% of 8 hours; ladders: up to approx. 8 feet 20% of 8 hours.
• Driving: 10% of 8 hour day required to drive company pick‑up truck.
• Work environment – inside: 90% of 8 hours; outside: 10% of 8 hours.
• Temperature exposure: 5 to 95 degrees.
• Critical hearing, vision, speech; moderate literacy; chemical exposure varies by job assignment.
• Protective clothing:
  None required.
• Equipment operation: electric saws and hand tools.
