Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and facility systems in a steel processing environment. The Maintenance Technician performs both mechanical and electrical duties, including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, fabrication, and general building maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on eight overhead cranes, five slitting lines, pickling and processing lines, conveyor lines, augers, and related production equipment.
• Maintain and repair secondary equipment such as pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, shears and blades, motors, gears, shafts, drives, and various other mechanical and electrical components.
• Read and interpret PLC-related information via HMI and trace issues using electrical prints and schematics to identify and resolve faults.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V single-phase and three-phase, including generators, AC and DC motors, switches, sensors, and electrical drives.
• Use a multimeter to trace circuits, check for blown fuses, and verify electrical continuity and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Fabricate and modify equipment and components as needed to support production and maintenance activities.
• Perform MIG and stick welding on various equipment in the plant as required.
• Conduct maintenance and repair on forklifts, lifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Carry out general building maintenance tasks to keep the facility in safe and efficient operating condition.
• Work at heights of approximately 35 to 40 feet to perform maintenance and repairs inside and outside the facility.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to diagnose complex issues and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Delta, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60070.00 - $68640.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

1. Weekly pay 2. 401k match up to 4% 3. Insurance starts 1st day of next month after they are brought on direct.
4. Will be given uniforms
5. Steel toe reimbursement after 90 days up to $100 and then after that every 9 months.
6. Monthly Incentive program (BONUS) - at the end of each month the company looks at tonnage, downtime and quality of parts. They then create a percentage and will give out a bonus check from to its employees. The percent can range from 0-10% of gross total hours worked by each employee.
