We are seeking a Research Manager to lead innovation in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Digital Twins & Simulation-based Design, Mathematics, Sustainability, Health Tech, and Robotics.

Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate international research and innovation projects across AI, Engineering, and Data Science
- Manage multi‑stakeholder consortia with academic, industrial, and institutional partners
- Identify and develop new research opportunities and funding strategies at EU and national levels (e.g., Horizon Europe, DFG, BMBF)
- Translate scientific results into technological innovations
- Supervise proposal development, project implementation, and dissemination activities
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with partners, clients, and funding agencies
- Represent TWT at international conferences, review panels, and collaborative research networks
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to building internal expertise and knowledge networks
- PhD or Postdoctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in coordinating international and interdisciplinary research projects
- Strong understanding of grants and proposal writing (EU or national programs)
- Solid background in AI, data‑driven engineering, or simulation technologies
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to bridge academia and industry
- Leadership experience in cross‑functional and multicultural teams
- Fluent in English and German
; additional languages are an advantage
