Kurtosis is writing the next chapter in the history of software development. The story of computer science is one of abstraction layers built over abstraction layers: 0's and 1's become assembly code, C becomes Java, CPUs become the personal computer, and Kubernetes becomes Kurtosis.
By building an end-to-end environment control platform for the entire development cycle, Kurtosis allows individual developers to prototype, test, and iterate on a distributed system as a whole - saving massive amounts of developer time and unlocking workflows that were previously impossible.
No space needs next-generation distributed system development technology more than the blockchain space. Kurtosis' customers include Ava Labs, Solana, Chainlink, NEAR, and the Ethereum Foundation. Notably, the Ethereum Foundation is using Kurtosis to test The Merge from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake: the hardest software migration in the history of software.
Developer Advocates at KurtosisDeveloper Advocates are a good fit for Kurtosis when they:
- can communicate clearly over a variety of formats (written, spoken, visual) with software engineers about backend engineering concepts such as container orchestration, virtualization, security/network testing, and devops workflows
- have experience working with customers and end users to support their needs, making sure a developer-first product exceeds their expectations
- have experience writing technical copy like onboarding experiences, workflow documentation, case studies, or product-oriented blog posts
- can iterate with Kurtosis engineers and end-users to continuously improve developer experience and product-market fit
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Go
- Typescript
- Various blockchain technologies (Ethereum, NEAR, Solana, Chainlink, etc.)
Kurtosis is a fully-remote company! Being venture-backed, we pay competitive market compensation for both salary and equity.
Although we are fully-remote, we have many chances throughout the year to get to know each other on a personal level and create strong bonds. We are regular attendees of industry conferences in the cryptocurrency space, and we occasionally have off-sites where we colocate to get to know each other in person (voluntary participation). In addition, every week we have Funtosis, a virtual get-together for us to connect on a personal level and have fun.
