Overview

United Offshore Support GmbH is one of the main Global Players in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry with Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels operating worldwide. A team of Professionals runs the fleet from its Head Quarters in Leer, Germany, divided into a Ship management, including Technical Department and QHSE Departments, Commercial, Financial and HR Department.

Responsibilities

As the Second Officer
, your main responsibility lies in the maintenance of all bridge related equipment. You must know your way around digital charts and digital publications, being able to keep records and update both. You will be the responsible Officer in preparing comprehensive passage plans not only for transit but also for towing routes. You must know your way around RADAR/ECDIS systems and have thorough knowledge in DP systems.

You will be an integral part of the Bridge team in implementing the company’s SMS and making sure all relevant documentation (Flag, Class & all regulatory bodies) is being maintained. You will be involved in cargo handling and stowing while being in port and offshore. You will lead the deck team during Anchor handling and towing operations for your watch.

Qualifications
  • Watch Officer (STCW A-II/1) unlimited certificate of competency
  • GMDSS (STCW A-IV/2) unlimited certificate
  • Ability to act as the ship’s Safety Officer as and when required
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Second Officer on board AHTS DP2 Vessel
  • DPO unlimited certificate preferred
  • All sea-related certificates up to date
  • A high standard to every aspect of your work
  • Proficiency in English and great communication skills
  • Safety driven approach to all tasks
  • Know how to use and maintain all LSA & FFE
  • Familiar in Planned Maintenance Systems
  • Being curious in manual ship handling & winch driving
  • Follow and assist the Chief Officer in all tasks at hand
  • Have developed basic leading skills and willing to expand on that
