Position SummaryUnder the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi‑tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for safely operating the shuttle vehicle on each trip and must follow all applicable laws and company policy.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles.
- Function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2‑way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manoeuvre trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading crew as needed. Place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent the trailer from rolling. If a pup trailer movement is involved; extra care must be taken on the placement of the trailer jack stand (when at dock, jack stand must be on the ground and in a locked position).
If there is not a jack stand installed on the trailer the customer must be notified. - Proper use of Airline/Electrical hookup and backing procedure is a must.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Tractor trailer experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Satisfactory completion of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
- Basic computer skills.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic math.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer’s instruction manuals.
- Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a group.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast‑paced work environment.
- Bending occasionally.

- Sitting constantly.
- 11‑20 pounds lift/carry and push/pull.
- Reach above shoulder, squat, or kneel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
