Job SummaryUnder the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi‑tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely operate the shuttle vehicle on each trip and follow all applicable laws and company policy.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles.
- Function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2‑way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed. Place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent the trailer from rolling. If a pup trailer movement is involved, take extra care with truck jack stand placement (when at dock, jack stand must be on the ground and locked).
- Proper use of airline/electrical hookup and backing procedure is a must.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment on a daily basis.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Tractor‑trailer experience.
- Clean driving record.
Certificates and Licences
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor‑trailer operation.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months ranging from mild to moderate.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills.
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
- Basic math.

- Ability to work as assigned outside and in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer’s instruction manuals.
