Overview
Community Memorial Health System was established in 2005 when Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura merged with Ojai Valley Community Hospital. It is comprised of these two hospitals along with a network of primary and specialty care health centers serving various communities across west Ventura County. The position offers a salary range of $21.00 - $28.49 per hour. The final pay rate is determined by employee skills, qualifications, years of experience, and comparison to others in the role; most hires start below the midpoint.

Responsibilities- EVS Tech (Housekeeping) - Full-Time 8-Hour Variable Shift Position Available
- Cleans and disinfects hospital patient rooms, surgical areas, procedural areas, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas. Maintains supplies and orders necessary equipment. Observes proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste.
- As an essential daily responsibility, cleans patient rooms for the hospital, including potential cleaning of COVID-19 patient rooms and possible contact with COVID-19.
- CMHS EVS Department provides Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and education/training to protect employees, patients, and the community.
- Required:
Ability to speak, read, and write documents in English - Ability to understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) pertaining to the use and handling of chemicals
- Ability to interact with patients, customers, co-workers, and physicians in a courteous and service-oriented manner
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
