The Turndown Attendant will provide Forbes Five Star service with attention to detail, quality, and consistency. Responsible for completing daily work quota. Ensures that guest rooms and hallways are cleaned thoroughly and provides nightly turndown according to standards, meeting or exceeding guest expectations. This position provides the opportunity to select an appropriate leveling program based on the number of guest rooms the associate is able to service satisfactorily.

Skills and Qualifications- Possess a positive, outgoing and friendly personality.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Exercise good judgment and be a clear thinker in pressure situations.
- Ability to focus attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work without direct daily supervision.
- Team player.
- Experience in a hospitality industry or equivalent.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Basic ability to communicate in the English language.
- Complete 24 Turndown Rooms between the hours of 5:30‑9:30pm
- Complete daily assigned Stayover & Checkout Rooms/Credit. Usually 3‑4 Credits per day between the hours of 1:30p‑5p
- Turndown occupied and arrival guest rooms including: replace used amenities, ice, towels, glasses, turndown bed, leave chocolates, empty trash, close drapes, and turn on music, following proper sequence.
- Clean occupied and departure rooms including make beds, vacuum, dust, scrub restrooms, clean patio, and refresh and supply guest room amenities.
- Efficiently process and prioritize tasks.
- Be attentive to guests, continually serving them to ensure an enjoyable visit.
- Remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult guest situations, resolving whenever possible and reporting to supervisor or manager.
- Safely operate Hostar equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
- Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property, including assigned keys and communication devices.
- Follow lost and found protocols.
- Display work habits that promote accident prevention.
- Adhere to health department sanitation and safety regulations.
- Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly, reporting maintenance needs to the supervisor or manager.
- Report guest room maintenance needs via Know Cross.
- As occupancy requires, Level A and B Turndown Attendants may be assigned to the preparation, cleaning and upkeep of Casa Elar, a 10,000 square foot on-site estate.
- In addition to the above mentioned cleaning duties, Turndown Attendants assigned to Casa Elar will also wash dishes, touch‑up library, parlor, and bar, patios and pool area.
The pay rate for this position is $20.80
