Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent is responsible for providing superior service to customers and preparing foods listed on the menus, including grilled, fried, broiled, or pantry‑prepared items.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides superior customer service and can handle difficult customers.
  • Prepares food to meet specifications and presents plates aesthetically.
  • Recognizes sauces and properly places them on all entrees.
  • Maintains a neat and clean workstation.
  • Assists coworkers for efficient line operation.
  • Works in a hot, noisy environment with hazards such as wet floors and knife use.
  • Uses kitchen equipment such as choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders.
  • Reviews recipes and documentation, ensures foods are cooked properly.
  • Moves efficiently within the work area, stocks and retrieves supplies.
  • Can lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Communicates with customers and all staff levels.
  • Is flexible to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
Qualifications
  • Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Minimum one‑year experience as a Cook Trainee or line cook, or completion of a degree in culinary arts or recognized apprenticeship.
Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of fingers and hands.
  • Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
Closing

The Tribal Council gives preference in all employment practices to Native Americans. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements; second preference to members of other federally recognized Native American tribes.

Required

As part of the employment process, final candidates must obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance. Background checks may include a credit check, criminal background check, and drug screen.
