Under the direction of the F&B General Manager, the Busser supports the smooth operation of the restaurant by clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and maintaining the dining area’s cleanliness. The Busser assists wait‑staff by delivering food, refilling drinks, and stocking condiment stations to ensure high‑caliber service to customers.
Responsibilities- Clearing tables:
Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses. - Resetting tables:
Set tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and napkins. - Stocking:
Refill condiments, napkins, and other table essentials. - Serving:
Deliver food and beverages when servers are busy. - Assisting servers:
Help with tasks such as clearing plates and refilling drinks. - Cleaning:
Wipe down tables and chairs, mop floors, and vacuum. - Polishing:
Polish silverware and glassware. - Maintaining safety and cleanliness:
Follow restaurant health and safety regulations. - Closing activities:
Clean the dining area at the end of the shift, stack chairs, and prepare stations for the next day. - Communicating with staff:
Inform servers of table availability and guest needs. - Assisting with dishwashing:
Scrape, stack, or load dishes into the dishwasher. - Promoting positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high‑volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication with guests in English.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality with a professional appearance.
- Good guest service skills and detail orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Smoking environment.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and talk or hear.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 100 lbs, reaching, stooping, squatting, and bending. Pushes, pulls, stocks, and unloads carts and liquor cabinets.
- Noise level usually loud.
The Tribal Council gives preference to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, and promotion is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
