Management Accountant

An AAT Level 4 qualified Management Accountant is required for a 12‑month maternity cover role. You will support the Financial Controller and senior finance team, producing accurate management information and ensuring effective financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

* Weekly reporting including sales data, KPI packs and performance metrics using advanced Excel.

* Period‑end accounts including journals, accruals, repayments, cost analysis and commentary.

* Departmental spend analysis with clear explanations of variances against budget.

* Balance sheet reconciliations including payroll control accounts and weekly payroll journals.

* Audit support assisting with year‑end requirements.

* Fixed asset register maintenance including capex review and depreciation.

* VAT returns preparation and reconciliation of control accounts.

* Financial pack preparation including intercompany postings and final reporting.

* General finance support including payroll cover and ad‑hoc duties.

Requirements

* AAT Level 4 qualification

* Previous management accounts experience

* Strong Excel and accounting systems skills

* Clear communication and ability to build strong working relationships

* Proactive approach with strong problem‑solving ability

* Reliable, organised and detail‑focused

* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
