Position: Warehouse Operator (Night Shift) Learn More & Apply

To carry out a range of routine warehouse tasks and processes in line with operating procedures to ensure production is run without downtime. This will involve routine supply of ingredients and materials to cook plant and cleaning of equipment produced by cook plant. Role will also be cover for warehouse end of line operation and other duties as required.

Hours: 2200 – 0600 hours Monday to Friday (Night shift)

(Flexibility outside of these hours may be required to meet business demands)

Warehouse Supervisor

Role Summary:

To carry out a range of routine warehouse tasks and processes in line with operating procedures to ensure production is run without downtime. This will involve routine supply of ingredients and materials to cook plant and cleaning of equipment produced by cook plant. Role will also be cover for warehouse end of line operation and other duties as required.

  • Supply of ingredients and materials to cook plant, completing traceability paperwork.
  • Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks within the work area so that health and safety standards are maintained, and we meet all hygiene requirements.
  • Storage of ambient, fresh, and frozen materials in the appropriate storage locations.
  • Operate any equipment and processes in which you are trained to use, adhering to operating procedures to achieve product specification and meet targets.
  • Check products and materials against the required quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Pick finished goods for customer orders as per company pick sheets.
  • Report any damages to product or equipment to your line manager.
  • Complete any necessary records and/or documentation as required.
  • Report any faults so that they can be rectified quickly and keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Check and monitor processes, making recommendations for any adjustments necessary to achieve product and process specification.
  • Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvements, so that better ways of doing tasks are identified and implemented.
  • Communicate and co-operate with colleagues to achieve department goals.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Other tasks as required following training.

Person Specification

Experience & Knowledge:
Experience of working in a similar factory and food environment. Specific knowledge within a warehouse/despatch area. Forklift experience preferred but training will be given.

Skills & Personal Attributes:
Good numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and work on own initiative where required. Ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively. Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual.
