Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering in Okemos, MI. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead natural gas and civil infrastructure projects from planning and design through permitting and construction support.

• Lead and manage civil and natural gas engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Oversee planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure project success.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to project teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience, including 5+ years in project management.
• Proven experience with natural gas systems and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
• PE license required (candidates scheduled to take the PE exam soon will be considered — must provide exam date).
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
