Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate Transportation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role involves designing, planning, and implementing efficient transportation systems and creating innovative solutions to complex problems. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including highway design, roadway design, site development, traffic systems, bridges, tunnels, rail, airports, ports, and mass transit.

Responsibilities
  • Design highways, roads, develop, and implement transportation engineering projects, and other related structures.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and Micro Station to create detailed designs, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, including highway engineering plans and designs.
  • Collaborate with tunnels, rail project management to ensure that projects, ports, and mass transit are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct studies to determine traffic conditions and evaluate the most feasible traffic system design solutions, taking into account factors to improve traffic flow and safety.
  • Prepare technical cost, safety, and sustainability reports and proposals.
  • Use design software like AutoCAD and Micro Station to create detailed plans and communicate project blueprints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with managers, other engineers, architects, and professionals on multidisciplinary projects to ensure project objectives are met within compliance, budget, and timelines.
  • Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Experience in conducting traffic studies and simulations to assess effectiveness of transportation systems and propose improvements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Micro Station.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver license and ability to travel as needed.
