$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible new hires.
$17.69 per hour starting wage for non-certified Medical Assistants.
$18.41 per hour starting wage for Medical Assistants Certified through AAMA or AMT.
Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, you will provide excellent patient care by performing or assisting in a variety of medical procedures and tests to aid in the examination and treatment of patients. This includes measuring vital signs, administering injections, and conducting venipuncture. You will also assist with clerical duties to maintain efficient operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Provide service excellence standards.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to all customers’ needs.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with all patients, families, and staff.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Prepare examining rooms including turning on computer terminals and stocking room supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience as a medical assistant or patient care tech.
- OR high school diploma or equivalent and completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
- For clinics with the Rural Health Designation, Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalents must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification. May be required at management discretion.
- Electronic medical record experience.
- One-year experience working in a medical office with multiple providers.
- Previous experience working in a medical office of the same specialty.
