Devops Specialist

Hiring a Dev Ops Specialist looking to join our collaborative team!

Manage Linux based Jenkins servers

Maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines (written in Groovy) that integrate with Bitbucket, Open Shift, and build tools such as Maven and NPM

Configure and monitor Kubernetes (Open Shift) name spaces and work with tools such as Helm and Argo

Maintain a Kafka installation running in Kubernetes (Open Shift)

Maintain Tekton (Open Shift Pipelines) based CI/CD pipelines

Manage Windows virtual servers running third-party software and work with IIS, Power Shell and Active Directory

Monitor servers and applications using tools such as Instana, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana

Diagnose and troubleshoot database related issues

Monitor systems availability and capacity

Identify performance issues and provide suggestions for optimization

Desired Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another related degree is required. Candidates without a four-year degree, but with several years of relevant experience, may also be considered.

Must be able to learn and effectively use tools and development techniques as practiced, acquired, or adopted within the IT Division.

Some object-oriented development experience is strongly preferred (Java, Groovy). This experience can be from a course, class, or project.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Okemos, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
