Audit Senior Associate - Energy

Weaver is seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join our Energy team. The role leads key aspects of larger, more complex engagements and serves as the in‑charge professional. Responsibilities include demonstrating strong command of technical accounting guidance under GAAP and SEC frameworks, applying a solid understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, and using advanced audit procedures and techniques for complex financial statement areas.

The Audit Senior will develop and enhance client relationships through strong communication and project management skills, execute engagement planning activities, gather information for time budgets, coordinate all planning activities on engagements under the supervision of more experienced staff, and design a risk‑based audit approach.

Education and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong project management, team orientation and interpersonal skills
  • CPA candidate required, CPA strongly preferred
  • 2+ years or more of public accounting, industry, or a combination of both experience
  • Energy and/or renewable energy industry experience
Weaver Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 in the Denver Metropolitan Area, with actual compensation based on experience, skills, certifications and geographical location. Weaver offers competitive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and a 401(k) plan. Flexible scheduled time off (STO), a minimum of 56 hours of sick and safe leave, 11 holidays and 2 scheduled recharge days are also provided.
