* Job Summary:

**## The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting corporate-level reporting for an Oil & Gas organization. This role will be responsible for monthly close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific accounting standards such as successful efforts (SE) or full cost (FC) accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of Oil & Gas accounting practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.##

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and post monthly journal entries for corporate entities.
* Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reporting packages.
* Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Assist with consolidation of multiple subsidiaries or business units.
* Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve variances.
* Prepare entries related to asset retirement obligations (ARO), depletion, depreciation, and amortization (DD&A).
* Assist with revenue, joint interest billing (JIB), and production accounting data as needed.
* Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate accounting data.
* Prepare audit schedules and assist with external financial audits.
* Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls and company policies.
* Participate in process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.## Qualifications##

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 2+ years of accounting experience;
Oil & Gas experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of GAAP.
* Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‐solving skills.## ##

* Experience with SEC reporting or public-company environments.
* Prior work with upstream or midstream operational accounting.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
