Summary
The position includes administrative support, telephone answering, document scanning, and occasional courthouse errands.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet clients and visitors, ensuring they feel welcome and attended to.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Scan, label, and electronically file legal documents and correspondence.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception and common area.
- Perform light clerical duties such as copying, filing, and data entry.
- Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to support daily office operations.
- Occasionally run errands to the courthouse or other local offices as needed.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsKnowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent and valid driver's license.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Must have knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment. Telephone and typing skills required. Attention to detail is essential.
Worker is expected to maintain regular attendance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
