Director of Strategy

• Assess internal and external risk and opportunities; bring facts, analysis, and judgement together toidentifyopportunities, risks, make recommendations, and drive business decisions
• Collaborate with the Strategy team and leaders across the organization on our Strategic Plan (the process and bringing it to life)
• Scope and plan projects (i.e., ensure clarity at the start, set goals, goals and objectives, identify key milestones, create a high-level project plan, identify risks, and set metrics)
• Lead projects that will drive performance (financial, operational) for stakeholders (e.g., lead cross functional teams, drive change via change management best practices, and track delivery of milestones and key metrics)
• Conduct end-to-end problem solving (i.e., structure the approach, identify key stakeholders, conduct relevant analysis (qual and quant), develop the "story", provide recommendations that drive decisions and action)
• Analyze and synthesize data to develop clear recommendations
• Leverageagentic AI to reach more robust answers, faster
• Create clear and compelling communications for internal and external audiences– including using inverse pyramid communication
• Be a thought partner to the Chief Strategy Officer, crew and other leaders across Vital Farms
• Collaborate with leaders across functions to assess opportunities and bring decisions to life
• Drive change and continuously improve the Ways of Working at Vital Farms to operate effectively

• BA/BS degree required. MBA or relevant Masters preferred.
• 7+ years total experience in Strategy / related work .
• Prior experience at a top tier Strategy Consulting firm, in house strategy team or comparable (e.g., FP&A, Corp Dev, banking); strong preference for a combination of consulting and in house experience.
• Experience leading and developing others preferable (this could include leading a project team, peers, or leading leaders)
• Ability to travel 10-20% for company meetings, team offsites, employee onboarding trips and other business needs

• You have agentic AI experience/acumen.
• You like to test (and scale quickly) new approaches and are continuously looking to improve things
• You have a team player mindset (because 1+1 can equal
  3) and experience leading cross functional teams (across all levels) to do seemingly impossible things
